Police also noted that Palani was an accused in the murder of one Muthu Batcha of BV Colony in the year 2013.
Chennai: A 29 — year old history sheeter was hacked to death near Vyasarpadi Jiva railway station on Saturday night by gang over previous enmity. Police identified the deceased as C. Palani, a resident of BV Colony in Vyasarpadi.
Police claims that it was a revenge killing orchestrated by another history sheeter in the area named Kathiravan. “It looks like the murder was executed by Kathiravan along with his associate to settle previous enmity. We are on the look out for Kathiravan,” police said.
Palani had ventured out of his house after he received a call on his mobile.
While he was standing near the railway station, two persons on a bike reached there and attacked him with sickles. Though he tried to run away, the duo chased him and hacked him to death, police said.
Police also noted that Palani was an accused in the murder of one Muthu Batcha of BV Colony in the year 2013. He was also listed as a suspect in the killing of one Saravanan of Puzhal in the year 2014, police added.
