BENGALURU: As the police continue with their investigation into the murder of RSS worker Rudresh, they now strongly suspect involvement of some others in the case. The police had earlier arrested four people - Mohammed Sadiq alias Mohammed Mazar, Mohammed Mujeebullah alias Moula alias Mujeeb, Waseem Ahmed and Irfan Pasha - in connection with the murder.

Unanswered questions
They are now trying to solve a few unanswered questions regarding the case.
“We suspect some more people are involved in the case. As we have definite clues that all the four were members of a radical organisation, we believe that the murder was carried out at the behest of others. We are grilling them in this connection,” a police official said.

The police are also analysing the mobile phone numbers that received signals from the surrounding towers in the locality where the murder took place.
“We have verified thousands of phone numbers and some are yet to be verified. We are doing this to know whether any other person directly helped the assailants,” the officials added.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the accused people were associated with radical groups and had even attended some discourses organised by these groups.
Sources said that the accused had links with Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), but no officials confirmed it. However, the investigators are trying to find out the identity of the people who directed the four to commit the murder, the sources said.

Kerala, TN cops seek info
Following the arrest of the four, the police of Kerala and Tamil Nadu have gathered information about the case and the revelations made by those arrested.
Striking similarities

“As murders had striking similarities with those having taken place in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, the police from the two states have sought information. We have exchanged information related to Rudresh’s case and also about the murders that took place in those states,” an official said.  The modus operandi in all these murders are being discussed and minute details shared,” the official said.
