Hyderabad: Three chain-snatching cases in 4 days

Hyderabad: Unidentified men with faces masked snatched a gold chain from a 70-year-old woman at LB Nagar on Saturday morning. The men approached her and asked for water to drink, but before she could react, they robbed her of a three-tola gold chain and sped away. Police later identified the snatchers in CCTV footage and launched a hunt.
This is the third chain-snatching incident in the city in the last four days. The first one occurred at Meerpet on Wednesday, and another one at Bachupally on Friday.
Police said the woman Kasturibai, a resident of Sainagar Colony in LB Nagar, had just left her house to sit in the morning sun near the road when the incident occurred. She filed a case with the police. On Wednesday afternoon, a woman retu-rning home at Gayatri Nagar in Meerpet was targeted by chain-snatchers who robbed her of a five-tola gold chain.
On Friday, a bike-borne man snatched a gold chain from a woman who was returning home from a temple in Nizampet in Bachupally.
