Cab driver from Delhi shot by militants in J&K's Shopian

SRINAGAR: A non-local cab driver identified as Paramjeet Singh was shot and wounded by suspected militants in Jammu and Kashmir 's southern Shopian district on Monday evening
The police sources here said that the shooting incident took place in Borihallan area in Shopian. The victim, reportedly a resident of Delhi, received a gun shot in his left arm but his condition is stated to be stable.
"The driver was immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital and his condition is stable," a police official said.
Meanwhile, the J&K police and other security forced have cordoned the area off and launched a search operation to capture the assailants alive or dead, the sources said.
