Telangana to pay for 100 Muslims for UPSC mains

Hyderabad: To address the under-representation of Muslims in administrative services, the government will select 100 youths to provide coaching in the UPSC mains.

The government has selected Hyderabad Study Circle, RC Reddy Academies and Brain Tree to coach the youths, who will be selected through a test to be conducted by the Centre for Education Development of Minorities. 

The academies were selected by a three-member committee, said Mr Omer Jaleel of the minorities’ welfare department. 

Prof. S.A. Shukoor of the Urdu Academy said the government would pay Hyderabad Study Circle Rs 86,000 per student, and Rs 1.25 lakh to the other two.
