Hyderabad: 55-year-old dies of LPG explosion

Hyderabad: A 55-year-old man succumbed to his injuries in Hyderabad on Friday after sustaining 70 per cent burns in an LPG explosion.
Reddy Ranga Rao, from Patamata, died on Sunday after an LPG place in his house in the wee hours of Jan 29 after battling for life till Sunday evening at Sentini Hospitals in city.
The explosion left the house of Ranga Rao, a scrap merchant at Auto Nagar, completely damaged. Doors and windows in the front of the house were blown away up to 30 feet and a concrete pillar in the veranda was left dislodged.
The commercial cylinder which leaked the gas throughout night was intact. Ranga Rao's wife Santa Kumari who was in the house at the time of incident escaped unhurt.
