Nara Lokesh warns TD cadre of action for rules violation

GUNTUR: Telugu Desam national secretary, N Lokesh warned about disciplinary actions against the leaders who violate discipline and party rules. He addressed the training session of TD party election committees and incharges in NTR Bhavan at Guntur on Tuesday. Mr Lokesh said that the strength of TD is its activists and TD is the only party with 70 lakh memberships. He directed the committees to conduct meeting every month without fail and so campaign about the welfare schemes of Telugu Desam government among masses. He said that TD government is giving round-the-clock so the leaders and activists should take the same among the public.
Mr Lokesh said that Union Government will not give Special Category Status to any State from this year. He directed the TD leaders and cadres to campaign about “no SCS to any State from 2017” issue among the public and the efforts of TD about getting Special Package to AP similar to SCS. He objected the linking of SCS to Jallikattu movement and alleged that opposition parties are trying to provoke the public. Mentioning about the funds allocation to multipurpose national project Polavaram, he claimed that Polavaram is the first project after independence which’s total cost is bear by the Union Government.
Mr Lokesh stated “TD will not get any extra mileage by abusing or criticizing opposition leader” and claimed that Union Government funds would not come to AP if the government starts enmity with them. He further claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is good leader hence TD is supporting BJP government.
