Shenoy nagar, mount Metro waiting time reduced

CHENNAI: Bringing cheers to commuters, Chennai metro has reduced the waiting time from existing 10 minutes to 7 minutes between Shenoy Nagar and St Thomas Mount during peak hours. The changes in the timetable simply mean commuters can catch a train every seven minutes at the stations on the Shenoy

Nagar-St. Thomas Mount corridor from Thursday. At present, the frequency is 9-10 minutes during peak hours and 20 minutes during non-peak hours. From Thursday, trains will run in every seven minutes between Shenoy Nagar and St Thomas Mount during peak hours -- from 8.30am to 10.30am and from 5pm to 8.30pm.

CMRL is introducing the new time table following a traffic survey which showed that the maximum number of office-goers travel between Shenoy Nagar and St Thomas Mount.
