Any budget presented by a government immediately after an election will invariably aim at implementing the election manifesto of the ruling party.

Kozhikode: Even though trade and industry were not happy with the budget proposals with heavy taxation, the IT industry here welcomed the allocation of Rs 30 crore to the state-run Cyberpark here.

Officials said the amount would go into the expansion of the park. Once the construction of the existing building is over, they'll start work on a new one offering more space for companies.

Nearly 25 per cent of the space remains filled by them already.

In addition to this, the government will prepare a detailed project report for a mobility hub in Kozhikode along the lines of Vytilla hub. The budget includes Rs 3 crore for the Biodiversity Park of Kozhikode Block Panchayath and Rs 6.5 crore earmarked for the museums in the district, including a new heritage museum.
