Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka says Congress will win eight LS seats
He said the Congress had not lost its appeal among the people after its defeat in the recent Assembly elections.
Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka expressed confidence that the party would win seven to eight seats in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. He said the Congress had not lost its appeal among the people after its defeat in the recent Assembly elections.
Mr Mallu Bhatti said the Congress supporters had won in a respectable number of panchayats in the recent elections. Speaking to mediapersons on Thursday, he said that they would knock at the doors of every institution over irregularities in the recent Assembly elections. He said that the party would approach the Supreme Court over the failure of the Election Commission and complain to the President. He said that their fight against electronic voting machines will continue.
Mr Bhatti criticised Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for not constituting the Cabinet even a month after the results were declared. He alleged that Mr Rao was ruling the state against the spirit of democracy. He alleged that Mr Rao was using his power to weaken the Opposition parties.
He said no Congress MLA would defect and alleged that the TRS was playing a mind game. To a question, the CLP leader said that whether AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi would come to the state or not will be decided by party president Rahul Gandhi.
