Vijayawada bus accident: Brothers' wedding plans end in mishap
Sekhar went on a long weekend to Bhuvaneswar to see his brother and the two were returning home to discuss a marriage proposal.
Vijayawada: Two brothers who were going to plan the elder’s wedding died in the Diwakar Travels bus accident. They would have got down at Kodad, 20 minutes away from the accident spot if things had gone well. Nallabotu Krishna Reddy, 30 works as a software engineer at Bengaluru while his brother Nallabotu Sekhar Reddy, 32, was a doctor working with CRPF Bhuvaneswar.
Sekhar went on a long weekend to Bhuvaneswar to see his brother and the two were returning home to discuss a marriage proposal. Sekhar died on the spot while Krishna breathed his last at Nandigama government hospital. They were residents of Kodandarampalem of Garidepalli Mandal in Suryapet district.
They had called their cousin at Kodad to pick them up. “Krishna Reddy asked us to come in 10 minutes to pick them,” said N Venkat Reddy, their cousin. “While waiting at the bus station, a truck driver was talking about the bus accident. We tried to call Sekhar and Krishna but they did not answer,” he said.
“We rushed to the spot. We identified Sekhar. Krishna was shifted to Nandigama hospital. By the time we the hospital Krishna was moved to emergency care but after about 30 minutes the doctors declared that he succumbed to injuries,” said Venkat Reddy.
