Kerala coast in safe hands, says Coast Guard commander
Addressing members of the Kerala Management Association here, he said that security is like salt in food.
Kochi: Sanatan Jena, the Coast Guard Commander in charge of Kerala and Mahe said that the security of the coastline in Kerala is in safe hands of the security forces.
Addressing members of the Kerala Management Association here, he said that security is like salt in food. “Its presence is rarely appreciated, but its absence is badly felt,” he said. He recalled the rescue by the Coast Guard forces and fishermen during the floods in the state.
Jena said security in its most basic form can be achieved by proper care given to the environment that we live in. He also stressed on the need to have a sustainable society in which a wealthy business system, a stong education system, an effective administration, good environmental values and an effective healthcare system exist.
The session was presided over by Vivek Krishna Govind, past president, KMA and was addressed by C.S Kartha and V. George Antony.
