Kochi: SFO Technologies to focus on healthcare, aerospace

The certification assures the customers that the company is well-positioned to execute machine critical applications in its verticals.

SFO Technologies has become the first in the world to receive the CMMI-5 version 2.0 administered by the CMMI Institute developed at Carnegie Mellon University.

Kochi: SFO Technologies, part of the NEST Group contributing 95 percent of the Rs 1,800-crore turnover of the group, has been eyeing the growing opportunities in areas such as health care, aerospace and defence in the near future. The company is also focusing on investing in areas such as artificial intelligence and deep learning systems as part of the next phase of growth, according to Mr Althaf Jehangir, executive director and CEO of the electronics division of SFS Technologies.

SFO Technologies, already having a good presence in the health care vertical,  is focusing on aerospace and defence sectors, he told reporters here.

 "These two areas are expected to see good traction in the coming days" he said. It is already catering to global companies such as GE, Thales, Boeing, Denso as well as Defence Research and Development

Organisation in the country.

SFO Technologies has factory complexes and software development centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Bengaluru, Pune and Mysore, besides in America, Thailand and Japan.
