Kothagudem: RTC bus shelter vanishes

Kothagudem: A bus shelter constructed at Medipally has gone ‘missing’ according to the Road Transport Corporation. TSRTC, Chengicherla, depot assistant manager Nakka Sripathi Krushna said in his complaint on Wednesday that the shelter was constructed on the main road several years ago with permission from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. The shelter suddenly vanished a few days ago, Mr Krishna said.

He said some unidentified persons may have dismantled the shelter and taken away the material used to build it.

Medipally sub-inspector B. Srinivas said that during the probe it was found that the bus shelter was shifted to another location without the knowledge of the RTC officials. A case has been registered under Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act and investigation is on to find out the persons who damaged the public property, he said.
