Vijayawada: The Ayesha Meera murder case is back to square one and her murderer is still at large. With the Hyderabad HC acquitting Pidatala Satyam Babu, the allegations of Ayesha Meera’s parents, Syed Shamshad Begum and Syed Iqbal, that Satyam Babu was falsely implicated, has been proved true. The parents demanded that Satyam Babu should be given a compensation of Rs 1 crore.

The police arrested Satyam Babu in August 2008. He has been in jail for eight years. The case became notorious when allegations were levelled against Koneru Satish, grandson of minister Koneru Rangarao. Ayesha’s parents said that forensic evidence was destroyed to save Koneru Satish.
