VK Sasikala leaves for Bengaluru prison after parole
She left in a car from her residence at Arulananda Nagar at 8.50 a.m. to Bengaluru.
Thanjavur: V.K. Sasikala, close aide of former Chief Minister, who is serving a sentence in the assets case in the Bengaluru Parapana Agrahara prison, left for Bengaluru after ten days of parole, from Thanjavur on Saturday.
She left in a car from her residence at Arulananda Nagar at 8.50 a.m. to Bengaluru. T.T.V. Dhinkaran, Independent MLA and Dr Venkatesh, her relative accompanied her in the car. Some of her relatives and party workers followed in cars behind the police vehicles.
Sasikala was given ten days parole on March 20 to attend the last rites of her husband M.Natarajan. “As the parole period ended she left for Bengaluru on Saturday” said Divakaran, brother of Sasikala. He clarified that the parole was only for ten days, but misreported by the media as 15 days.
