Hyderabad: Students jump in front of train
The youngsters had apparently been in love for quite some time and wanted to get married.
Hyderabad: Fearing their parents’ disapproval of their relationship, two intermediate students jumped in front of a moving train at Shamshabad to end their lives.
According to the GRP officials, Gangishetty Sravan Kumar, 18, a resident of Pittalagudem in Nandigama, and Aridi Mayuri, 18, a native of Kalwakol village in Maheshwaram Mandal, were both students of the Chaitanya college in Shamshabad and had recently attended the intermediate second-year examination.
The youngsters had apparently been in love for quite some time and wanted to get married.
“They both happened to leave home on Saturday morning and lied to their parents saying that they were attending a friend’s wedding,” said the police.
Reportedly, between 3 am and 4 am, the couple jumped in front of a moving train near the Pilloniguda under Shamshabad limits.
