Second TS-AP Vande Bharat Express from Sec'bad to Tirupati on April 8
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the second Vande Bhart Express for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, to run between Secunderabad and Tirupati, on April 8.
Union minister G. Kishan Reddy thanked Modi for giving the second prestigious train to the Telugu states. The train will take eight-and-a-half hours to reach its destination, against 12 hours for most existing services.
The train will halt at Nalgonda, Guntur, Ongole and Nellore. On the inaugural run, however, it will have additional stops at Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala and Gudur.
Modi had virtually flagged off the first Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam in January. The train, carrying 1128 passengers, will have 16 coaches, including two executive class.
