Avoid shoes, wear light clothes for Neet today

Chennai: With the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test phase 1 to be held tomorrow, AIPMT (All India Pre-Medical/ Predental test) unit has issued a circular asking candidates to come in slippers. They will not be allowed to wear shoes.
They should wear ‘light’ clothes and half sleeves to avoid malpractices. The circular issues a dress code, which reads that candidates should wear light clothes, which cannot be used for hiding any instruments or communication devices. Candidates should wear half sleeves and should not have big badges or brooches, which could be used to hide a communication device or camera. Candidates could wear slippers or sandals and not shoes.
The communication also reads that any textual material like printed or written bits of papers, geometry/ pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drives, eraser, calculator, log table, electronic pen/ scanner, mobile phone, bluetooth, earphones, microphone will not be allowed inside the examination hall. Other items like wallet, goggles, handbags, hairpin, hair-band, belt and cap are also not allowed.
According to the circular, all ornaments like ring, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge and brooch should be checked carefully and any eatable or water bottle will not be allowed in the examination hall. A. Anushya, who is to take the exam, said the the dress code is too much of a restriction.
