Andhra Pradesh: More funds for temporary secretariat
Government allots additional funds of Rs 530 crore to build two more floors.
Vijayawada: The state government has now additionally allotted Rs 530 crore for constructing temporary secretariat buildings. The government previously allotted Rs 220.80 crore for G+1 type buildings in the first phase and now budget has been enhanced up to Rs 750.80 crore for constructing two more floors for temporary secretariat buildings at Velagapudi village in Amaravati capital location.
According to Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials, Rs 68.34 crore were allotted for second, third floor construction while Rs 355.74 crore was sanctioned for internal infrastructure and Rs 105.92 crore for external infrastructure purpose. Initially the government made plans to construct six G+1 type buildings for temporary secretariat purpose.
As per officials, interior works, mechanical, plumbing services, furniture, cabins,partitions and work stations under internal infrastructure work and water supply, storm water drain system, power supply, sewerage treatment and security wall would be taken up under external infrastructure purpose. The temporary secretariat buildings are being constructed on 45-129 acres space out of which, 18 acres is allotted for parking place.
AUCTION OF SMALL PLOTS
Officials of APCRDA said that an auction would be conducted for small plots if these could be clubbed into bigger size plots with approval of landowners. As per plans, the developed plots would be divided from 30 square yards to 4,800 square yards.
If any land remained below 30 square yards after dividing plots, these would be clubbed and auctioned. Moreover, the TDR bonds also would be given for landowners for remaining land space and bonds could be sold as per the wish of owners.
