Kaleshwaram on Telangana state tourism circuit
Minister for tourism and culture Azmeera Chandulal released the tour itinerary at a press meet at the Secretariat on Thursday.
Hyderabad: The government’s flagship lift irrigation project Kaleshwaram will become part of the tourism circuit on June 2, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Telangana state. The TS Tourism Development Corporation will run a day-long special tour from Hyderabad to Kaleshwaram.
Minister for tourism and culture Azmeera Chandulal released the tour itinerary at a press meet at the Secretariat on Thursday. The tour starts at 7.30 am and will end at around 9 pm. It will cover Ranganayakasagar Project (near Siddipet), Sundilla Barrage (near Manthani) and Annaram Pumphouse.
The TSTDC will also organise a three-day paragliding event from June 3 to June 5 at the Bison Polo Grounds, Secunderabad, a first of its kind in the state.
Another initiative is ‘Telangana Formation Flight-2018,’ in which an aircraft will fly past with the national flag fluttering and showering flower petals over the audience at the Bison Polo Grounds.
The minister said 10 expert pilots would take part in the show. Mr Chandulal said visitors can also try paragliding at the venue. The five-minute paragliding which costs Rs 2,500 per persons will be guided by experts.
