Telangana: Discom frames guidelines for staff transfers

Employees in the order of seniority may be considered for transfer.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company (TSSPDCL) has issued guidelines on general transfers of employees for the year. These allow transfer of employees who have completed three years service as on May 31 their present posts, and of who were affected in the general transfers 2015-16.

Southern discom CMD  G. Raghuma Reddy said orders for the general transfers this year would be issued by June 18. He said that the transferred employees would be relieved of their duties on June 25, with the heads of departments making local arrangements for relief. He said that the employees would be deemed to be relieved of service at the end of seven days from the date of issue of transfer orders. 

Mr Reddy made it clear in the guidelines that no transfer orders shall be issued after June 18 exc-ept on disciplinary and vigilance grounds. He said that the list of empl-oyees to be transferred as per guidelines prepared by corporate office would be placed in the office. The objections on the list, if any, and applications reques-ting transfer should be submitted by June 11. Employees in the order of seniority may be considered for transfer. 

Break in service for less than six months at a time will be treated as continuity of service, the period includes incharge service. Mr Raghuma Reddy said that all transfers shall be from focal positions to non-focal positions and vice versa to the extent possible. All operation, commercial and HT meters positions are treated as focal positions except operation postings in Hyderabad south circle, Mehdipatnam and Vikarabad circle except Troop Bazar, Begum Bazaar, AC Guards sub-divisions.
