Hyderabad: A massive 98 per cent polling was recorded in the election to three Legislative Council seats from the local authorities constituencies from the erstwhile districts of Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda and Warangal on Friday. Of the 2,794 votes, 2,753 were polled in the three constituencies.
Out of 806 voters in Ranga Reddy 797 exercised their franchise (98.88 per cent) followed by Nalgonda where 1,073 electors voted out of 1,086 (98.8) and Warangal where 883 votes were polled out of 902 (97.89 per cent).
But for a minor incident in Nalgonda, polling concluded peacefully in all three constituencies. The vacancies were caused by the resignation of Mr P. Narendar Reddy upon winning the Assembly election.
