Hyderabad: UG-NEET aspirants are annoyed due to increased delay in the announcement of results for the second phase of counselling. Aspirants and parents across the country alleged that MCC had put a stay on counselling across the country due to an on-going case in the Bombay High Court.

The Medical Council Committee has put a stay on NEET counselling due to the ongoing case in Bombay. Reportedly, the MCC may publish the NEET results of the second phase of counseling on Wednesday.

Dr P.S. Vijayender, Secretary-Junior Doctors Associations said, “Instead of troubling the students again and again by obtaining stays and multiple court cases, the MCC should properly guide the aspirants even before the counselling begins.”

Dr B. Karunakar Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, said, “There is no need to get tensed as the first phase of counselling is usually completed by July end and we have already finished the first phase. Classes will begin on August 1, for the students who were allotted seats in the first phase. There is still time for the second counselling as we have been asked to complete it by August 31, so students need not worry.”
