Take Cabinet decisions to people, KTR tells BRS leaders
HYDERABAD: A day after the state Cabinet took a series of decisions including the merger of TSRTC into the state government, and approving plans for a massive expansion of Metro rail in and around the city, as well as the decision to declare orphan children as ‘Children of the State’, the ruling BRS party has decided to take these to the people across the state.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi party working president and Minister KT Rama Rao, during a teleconference with party MPs, MLAs, MLCs, office bearers on Tuesday morning, instructed the party leaders to hold events to celebrate the Cabinet decisions and to inform people on the impact of the decisions.
Rama Rao told his party leaders to hold events at RTC bus depots, families of former Village Revenue Officers who have been absorbed into government service in each of their Assembly constituencies, and about the expanded Metro rail services in the areas these will serve. He said the party leaders should also explain to people about the other Cabinet decisions including the one to introduce a comprehensive new policy for taking care of orphans in the state, as well as the decision to release Rs 500 crore for rain and flood relief.
