ESL Narasimhan offers prayers at Tirumala
The Governor along with his spouse Vimala Narasimhan offered prayers at Lord Venkateswara swamy temple on Thursday.
TIRUPATI: The Governor along with his spouse Vimala Narasimhan offered prayers at Lord Venkateswara swamy temple on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion he said, "I had a glorious darshan of the Lord which is beyond description. I congratulate TTD authorities for their efforts for providing darshan to all the pilgrims and continuing the legacy without deviations. I prayed that the Lord bless us all with good health."
Following the age old temple tradition, he first had a bath in Swami Pushkarini Teertham. Later, he offered prayers in Bhurvarahaswamy temple before offering prayers in Tirumala. On his arrival at Mahadwaram, he was welcomed by TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju and CVSO A Ravikrishna while the Veda pundits offered Isthikaphal Swagatham to the first citizen of the state with temple honours.
Later he offered prayers in front of Lord Venkateswara along with his entourage. One of the chief priest's of the temple Dr A.V. Ramana Dikshitulu explained to the Governor the importance of the jewels, that is also known as the Netra Darshanam of the Lord. Later he had a darshan in Varasiddi Vinayaka Temple in Kanipakam.
