Vijayawada: The Sree Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanam (SDMSD) is in a dilemma over construction of ‘Prasadam Potu’, following suggestions from a seer at Sringeri Siva Ganga Sarada Peetham. The seer has suggested that it should not be built in the north-east of the temple.

In fact, the EO initiated several development works, without consulting the Aagama pundits and so far,  a number of objections have been placed before the EO.

In fact, the new Yaga Shala construction at Sree Kanaka Durga temple, on Indrakeeladri has attracted devotees, as it had been earmarked for greenery by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Annadana Bhavanam, which existed earlier, has been dismantled to allow space for greenery and in contrast to the decision taken by CM, Bhumi Puja was performed for the new Yaga Shala, exclusively meant for Chandi Homam.

Giving clarification on the objections raised by a section of Vastu followers, the Sree Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanam (SDMSD) executive officer A. Suryakumari said as per the Aagama and Vastu only, they were going for the construction of fourth Yaga Shala.
