State will do justice to kapus: N Chinarajappa

Rajahmundry: Deputy Chief Minister N. Chinarajappa stated that the state government was making sincere efforts to provide reservation to Kapu communities in backward classes to improve their lot. Speaking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said that the state government had already set up Justice Manjunatha Commission to expedite the process to provide reservation to Kapu communities without affecting the interests of the backward classes. He said that once the Manjunatha panel submits its report, the state government would initiate the exercise with the Centre to provide reservation to the Kapus.

He said that the state government was committed to safeguard the interests of all the communities in the state and added that as part of it, a series of welfare schemes were being initiated in the last three years. He said that basic infrastructure in rural and urban areas was also being developed.
