Hyderabad: Advocates practicing at lower courts decided to abstain from court work on September 1 against the circular issued by the Hyderabad High Court on August 4 directing the trial courts to dispose of the cases pertaining to 2012 by March 31, 2018.

In a extraordinary general body meeting of the Federation of Bar Association of Telangana State, which held here in the city on Thursday, the advocates resolved to abstain from the work in trial courts protesting against the circular.

The federation leaders told mediapersons that they were not against the speedy disposal of pending cases, but without providing reasonable time to the advocates and fixing the deadline may result in a great loss to litigants.
