Both fronts fan jihadism, alleges BJP

Thiruvananthapuram: Detailing national president Amit Shah's arrival for Kummanam Rajasekharan's Janaraksha Yatra against the "red and jihadi terror" this week, BJP leader V. Muraleedharan on Saturday accused the LDF and UDF of fanning jihadism. 

Mr Shah will flag off the march on Tuesday at 10 am in Payyannur, Kannur district's northernmost town which witnessed three revenge killings recently. 

Later in the evening, he will walk with the state president for seven kilometres and fly back to New Delhi. 

After a day’s break, on Oct 5, he will come back and join the padayatra from Mambaram to Thalassery covering 11 km.  The padayatra will be in the district four days touring 53 km before entering Kozhikode.

Union ministers Nirmala Seetharaman, Ananth Kumar, Smriti Irani, Dharmendra Pradhan, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Alphons Kannanthanam, Mahesh Sharma, V. K. Singh, Arjun Ram Meghwal and other top leaders will join the Yatra at various places.

On the conclusion on Oct 17, Shah will join the walkers from Sreekariyam to Putharikandam grounds, the venue of the public meeting.
