Pollution increase up by 77 per cent in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The particulate matter (PM10) levels in the air increased by 77.5% in the city in the last two days as compared to the air quality on normal days because of firecrackers! The KSPCB, which is evaluating the ambient air quality during Deepavali and the impact of bursting crackers on air quality, has maintained in its interim report that PM10 values exceeded by 77.5% at Nisarga Bhavan in S.G Halli and decreased by 3.8% at City Railway Station between Oct. 29 and 30.
