VIJAYAWADA: Two persons were killed in a blast at a medical store in Seelamvari Street of Kothapeta in Guntur city in the early hours of Thursday.

The police and fire personnel were informed by the property owners who were shocked awake by the blast.
Kothapeta inspector S.V. Rajasekhara Reddy said that K. Rama Rao, 38, and an unidentified man were found dead in the Long Live Pharma.
On the basis of the unidentified person holding a screwdriver and AC cables, the police suspects that he was an AC mechanic who was repairing the indoor unit of the machine when it exploded.
Guntur Urban superintendent of police P.H.D. Ramakrishna and other senior police officials inspected the spot.
The police said that the shopping complex has two floors, with shops on the ground floor and the property owners living on the second floor.
Rama Rao was running a wholesale medical business for the past few years in the shop. He and his wife Sambrajyam, along with their two children, were residents of Syamala Nagar in Guntur city. The police shifted the bodies to GGH for autopsy and started investigation.
