Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said that the state government would set up a residential school in each mandal to provide quality education for the poor.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao directed officials to cancel the dealerships of ration dealers if they go on strike in December, and appoint new dealers in their place. Mr Rao warned dealers that their strike notice demanding increase in dealer commission among others were unjustified. The government would not tolerate if they went on strike and caused hardships to BPL families.

Officials told Mr Rao that out of the 14,000 dealers in the state, 7,000 in 25 districts had paid DDs to lift stocks for December, and the rest were threatening to go on strike. The Chief Minister took a serious view of this and asked officials to cancel their dealerships immediately. He asked officials to ensure smooth distribution of ration commodities to poor  even if dealers go on strike and make alternative arrangements.
