Hyderabad High Court clears teacher test papers in Andhra Pradesh
High Court directed to evaluate the OMR answer sheets of the petitioners who appeared in the preliminary test.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court directed the AP Public Service Commission and the higher education department to evaluate the OMR answer sheets of the petitioners who appeared in the preliminary test for recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers in Residential Educational Institutions Societies.
Justice A. Ramalingeswara Rao was allowing a batch of petitions by Ms Sujatha Cheruku and other seeking declare the action of the higher education authorities and Public Service Commission in not evaluating their OMR answer sheets of the preliminary test for recruitment of post graduate teachers and trained graduate teachers in residential educational institution societies, as illegal.
The judge said “it is commonly said that to err is human but the Public Service Commission wants the human beings to be perfect. The Commission can frame rules for obedience of the candidates but when unintentionally errors not relating to the merit of the candidate creeps in , where a strict application of the rules is proper or not is the point involve in these cases.”
The judge said “an opportunity for job comes once in life time many persons. That opportunity cannot be taken away by taking the aid of an unintentional mistake committed by such person.”
