Thiruvananthapuram: UDF alleges CPM, BJP secret pact
He added Travancore Devaswom Board president A. Padmakumar had talks with the Sabarimala Karmasamathi leaders.
Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress-led UDF has alleged a nexus between the CPM and the BJP on the Sabarimala issue.
Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said the BJP’s decision to withdraw agitation at Sabarimala and to stage stir in front of the secretariat was the outcome of this secret pact between the CPM and the BJP.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and BJP state president P. S. Sreedharan Pillai ought to reveal to the public their hidden agenda on the Sabarimala issue, Mr Chennithala said here on Friday.
He added Travancore Devaswom Board president A. Padmakumar had talks with the Sabarimala Karmasamathi leaders. This also exposes the hidden understanding between the CPM and those staged protests at Sabarimala. He also said the Congress was not favouring any protests at Sabarimala as it would only cause hardships to the pilgrims.
