Bengaluru: Additional metro trips from today

Bengaluru: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) on Monday announced a total of 13 additional trips which will cater to the commuters from Tuesday.
BMRCL MD Mahendra Jain in a release said that the frequency of the train operations will be increased to ensure availability every 3.5 minutes and 6 minutes during peak hours on the Purple and Green Lines respectively. Of the additional 13, 10 trips will ply along the Purple Line (Baiyappanahalli to Mysuru Road), while the rest will be for the Green Line. “The number of train services has been increased during non-peak hours as well. Commuters are requested to utilise the services to full extent,” added Mr Jain.
