Budget 2019: Rs 1,884 crore rail budget for waltair division

In the 2019-20, Rs 933.57 crore has been sanctioned in the budget for the ongoing doubling works.

Visakhapatnam: The Union government has allocated Rs 1,773.27 crore funds in the railway budget for various ongoing development works and Rs 111.25 crore for new works in Waltair Division, divisional railway manager Mukul Saran Mathur said in a statement on Friday.

In the 2019-20, Rs 933.57 crore has been sanctioned in the budget for the ongoing doubling works, Rs 289.98 crore for track renewals and another Rs 72 crore was allocated for taking up new track renewals. Rs 149.58 crore allotted for workshops.

 Including production units.

The government also allocated Rs 74 crore for signalling and telecommunication works, Rs 68.86 crore for road safety works and construction of two road-over-bridge (ROB) and eight road- under-bridge (RUV) works, and Rs 137.12 crore for improving passenger amenities.
