CPI state conference begins in Malappuram

Nearly 700 delegates from 14 districts are attending the four-day conference.

CPI state secretary K. Ramakrishna criticised the state government not providing facts on the circumstances prevailing in the state post demonetisation and publicising that all is set even though the agriculture sector is in crisis.

Malappuram: The CPI state conference,   ahead of the 23rd party congress to be held in Kollam next month, began here on Thursday. Party national general secretary S. Sudhakar Reddy inaugurated the meet. Calling for the unity of left parties Reddy said that joining hands with secular and democratic parties without sacrificing the left unity was the need of the hour. 

Nearly 700 delegates from 14 districts are attending the four-day conference. Earlier on the day, Senior leader C.A. Kurien hoisted the party flag and Mr. Rajendran received the torchlight brought from Manjeri.
