Nellore: Suspension of three regular teachers and one contract teacher working in a school run by ISRO at Sullurpeta on Thursday for allegedly misbehaving with some girl students created ripples in the region.
According to sources in Shar, the suspension of the teachers was based on a report of a committee formed by local authorities of ISRO to probe into the complaints of some girl students against the teachers.
The teachers have been identified as Shanmukha Nathan, Darboji and Krishnaprasad teaching Mathematics, Drawing and Science. The contract teacher is identified as Sudhir and he was teaching computer science. He has been removed from service.
Under the condition of anonymity a senior official of ISRO said that they have placed the three teachers under suspension based on prima facie evidence and further action depended on the outcome of inquiry to be carried out by another committee.
Lamenting over such incidents in a school run by ISRO, a Shar employee underlined the need to install CC cameras in classrooms and labs to instil fear complex among the erring faculty members.
