Hyderabad: Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan gets a warm farewell

He was addressing his colleague judges, court officers, advocates and the High Court staff.

Hyderabad: Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan recal-led his memories as the first Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court and his association with the city at the farewell accorded to him on his transfer as Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court.

He was addressing his colleague judges, court officers, advocates and the High Court staff.

“I acknowledge that whatever I had been able to do in Hyderabad in the common HC as well as in the Telangana HC was possible only because of the efforts and support extended by my brother and sister Justices as well as the erudite Bar and the excellent Registry officials and staff,” he said.

Mr B.S. Prasad, Advo-cate General, showered praises on Justice Rad-hakrishnan. The executive body of the Telan-gana HC Advocates Association felicitated the judge.

Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan, the senior-most judge in the Telangana High Court, will be Acting Chief Justice till the appointment of a full-fledged Chief Justice.

Justice  Radhakrish-nan, a native of Kerala, was transferred as CJ of the Hyderabad HC from the Chhattisgarh High Court on July 7, 2018. After bifurcation of the High Court on January 1, 2019, he was appointed as CJ of the Telangana High Court. With the suggestion of the Supreme Court Collegium, the President was pleased to transfer him to the Calcutta High Court.
