KT Rama Rao asks civic men to help in campaign
Mr Rama Rao discussed with the corporators ways to make the road shows a success.
Hyderabad: TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has directed GHMC corporators belonging to the party to prepare an action plan for the victory of its candidates contesting for the Lok Sabha seats within Hyderabad city.
Ahead of the party’s road shows to be held in the city, Mr Rao held a meeting with the corporators on Monday. It may be recalled that the TRS public meeting organised at LB Stadium in Hyderabad on March 29 was cancelled because of poor attendance. Mr Rama Rao discussed with the corporators ways to make the road shows a success.
He directed the corporators to conduct door-to-door campaign in the city and explain the development activities undertaken by the TRS government. With only a week of campaigning left, the efforts must be intensified, he said.
He wants the TRS to get a bigger majority in the Lok Sabha elections than it got in the recent Assembly elections in constituencies within Hyderabad city limits. Corporators have been asked to work for the TRS candidates fielded in Chevella, Secunderabad and Malkajgiri constituencies. He also urged local MLAs to work with the candidates for their success.
Mr Rama Rao asked the corporators to submit a list of booth committees, in-charges and important workers in their divisions by Tuesday. He also asked them to coordinate with Mayor Bonthu Rammohan for the campaign.
