Hyderabad: Girl traced using facial recognition

A team of Rachakonda police went to Mysore to bring back the girl and hand her over to her parents on Wednesday.

Hyderabad: The Facial Recognition System (FRS) of Telangana police helped trace a mentally unstable minor girl, who went missing from Bhongir two months ago. A team of Rachakonda police went to Mysore to bring back the girl and hand her over to her parents on Wednesday.

Police said, they began searching for Bhavani  from February 22. Upon receiving information about a Telugu-speaking girl in Mysore, police officials went through old files and matched the girl’s face using the FRS software and also informed her father, who confirmed that it was Bhavani.
