Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl student hailing from Nepal, has gone missing at Uppal. Police who registered a missing case suspect that the girl had gone back to her home in Nepal without informing her mother.
“Anitha 17, lived with her parents in Uppal and went to Nepal to visit her relatives during the summer, two months ago,” said P Venkateshwarlu, inspector of Uppal police station.
“The girl came back a week ago and left home on Thursday telling her mother that she was going for a walk. However, she did not return until late evening which made Sanjana, her mother lodge a complaint.” he said.
After talking to Anitha’s friends, police found that she had told them that she was going back to Nepal.
Police found that she was last spotted near Secunderabad railway station and it is suspected that she had boarded the Howrah-bound East Coast Express.
Police added that the girl had no issues with her mother and had been staying with her after her father left to New Zealand for work. Police deputed search parties to trace the girl. The case is being investigated.
