Monsoon drive by GHMC
Officers said out of the identified dilapidated structures, 1,248 buildings have either been rectified or demolished.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has conducted a special drive identifying 1,819 dilapidated buildings as per the provisions of HMC Act.
The civic body’s chief B. Janardhan Reddy said the drive was part of its monsoon action plan. He said he directed officials to bring to his notice buildings that were structurally weak.
Officers said out of the identified dilapidated structures, 1,248 buildings have either been rectified or demolished. Meanwhile, 176 buildings continue to remain in legal disputes.
“This year, 152 buildings have been referred to the engineering department for opinion on structural stability."
