Karnataka: Spurned by married woman, electrician ends life in her house
Suresh was in love with the woman, though she is married and has a baby.
Bengaluru: Dejected over a married woman whom he loved repeatedly turning down his proposal, a 26-year-old man hanged himself from the roof of a shed at the woman's house on Friday evening.
The deceased, V.A. Suresh, was an electrician and hailed from Pavagada in Tumkur. He apologised to the woman and her parents before committing suicide on the second floor of the same building where the woman and her family stay, near Dr Ambedkar College in Annapurneshwari Nagar police limits.
Suresh, who hailed from the same village as the woman - the mother of a 13-month-old baby, had come to Bengaluru two years ago and was working as an electrician and part-time courier boy. He was living with his brother in a rented house in Yelahanka.
Suresh was in love with the woman, though she is married and has a baby. Suresh repeatedly told her about his love for her. When she brought this to the notice of her parents, they called him and sternly warned him.
Around 7.30 pm on Friday, Suresh went to the woman's house and apologised for his act.
Then he went to the second floor of the building and hanged himself from the roof of a shed.
A family member of the woman went to the second floor and found Suresh hanging. A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Annapurneshwari police station.
