Bandi Vows 15 L People for PM Meet, Calls Cong. KCR's Kirana Shop
Warangal: Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday said the party will create history by mobilising around 15 lakh people for a public meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 9 am on July 8 in Hanamkonda.
“When the Congress, which does not exist in the state, can mobilise lakhs of people for Rahul Gandhi meeting, then how many lakhs of people can be mobilised by BJP, to which the people are ready to give power in the upcoming Assembly elections,” Sanjay told a preparatory meeting for Modi’s visit in Hanamkonda.
Sanjay said that the meeting will be held as a ‘Vijay Sankalp Sabha’ and would indicate the launch of the party’s election campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections.
Continuing his attack on the Congress and the the BRS, he said: “Congress is like a kirana shop for Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. Whenever he wants to purchase any material, he will go that shop and pick the leaders as he is endowed with enormous amounts of wealth.”
“There is no need to bother about the Congress, either in the state or at the Centre. By inducting one or two leaders, they are attempting to inject some life into the dead party. In Huzurabad, Munugode and Dubbaka byelections, the Congress candidates did not even get their deposits,” Sanjay said.
Sanjay accused the Chief Minister of deceiving the people by failing to deliver on his promises. “BJP is the only alternative to the BRS. The people are ready to give power to the BJP. The poor people's agenda is the agenda of the BJP,” he said.
He appealed to party workers to give a grand welcome of an unprecedented level to the Prime Minister on his first visit to Warangal, and to make the public meeting a huge success.
Sanjay, reminding workers that he was patted for successfully arranging a previous meeting said: “This time also, seeing the huge response to the meeting on July 8, PM Modi must once again appreciate the BJP workers.”
