Andhra University's researchers told to go global

Visakhapatnam: Principal Secretary of Higher Education, Sumita Dawra, called on Andhra University officials to carry out research works of international significance. On Monday, Ms Dawra chaired a review meeting with Andhra University officials in the Executives Council meeting hall. The review meet shed light on smart campus, digital campus, MOOCS (massive open online courses) implementation, research activities of the varsity, proposed Innovation Centre, industrial collaborations, foreign students, etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Dawra asked the officials to make the alumni part of the research activities of the varsity. She also directed the officials to display their international rankings on the AP Knowledge Mission website. Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Nageswara Rao explained that they are drafting syllabus according to the needs of the industry. He also provided information on how the varsity is trying to bag patents as well as research projects. Other faculty of the varsity explained different projects to Ms Dawra.
