Justice Ranganathan is new acting chief justice of Hyderabad HC

Hyderabad: Justice Ramesh Ranganathan, senior-most Judge of the Hyderabad High Court, has been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Hyderabad High Cout. President Pranab Mukherjee issued a notification on Monday night to this effect.
The appointment comes following the elevation of earlier Acting Chief Justice of the High Court Justice Dilip B. Bhosale as the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court.

Justice Ranganthan who will assume charge with immediate effect will continue as Acting Chief Justice of the Hyderabad High Court till the appointment of a regular Chief Justice.
Born on July 28, 1958, in New Delhi, Justice Ranganthan graduated in 1977 and completed his postgraduation in commerce in 1981. He is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary.
He obtained law degree from Bangalore University and enrolled as an advocate in the Andhra Pradesh High Court in November 1985.
He was Government Pleader from 1996 to 2000, and Additional Advocate General from July 2000 to May 2004. He was elevated as Additional Judge of the AP High Court on May 26, 2005 and became Permanent Judge on February 2, 2006.
