Wrong lab reports: Health officials rapped
The State Human Rights Commission has sought a report from the health department on the discrepancy.

Bengaluru: Following a report in this newspaper – “One man and three different biochemistry reports”, highlighting the plight of a patient, the State Human Rights Commission has sought a report from the health department on the discrepancy.
The health department has reached out to the man and looked into his lab reports. “I met the joint director last week and spoke to him for long. They took another letter from me and also the medical director immediately sent a note to all the erring centres," said the patient, whose identity has been kept confidential. Joint Director, Health and Family Welfare, Dr Raghunandan said, “We have written to the District Health Officer and asked him to look into the issue. We have sent him a memo and asked him to give notices to all the three labs to explain the discrepancy."
He said, “The issue has to be dealt with by the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments wing and they will take a call. The issue has been given prime importance and soon a decision will be reached on the diagnostic labs."
