Bomb expoldes in RTC bus in Visakhapatnam

The incident took place at around 8.25 pm when the bus was heading towards Araku from Vizag.

Madhapur traffic inspector T. Narsing Rao said that it was a mistake by the traffic staff and that the department would allow RTC busses on the road from Monday.

Visakhapatnam: Around 20 passengers in a RTC bus had a miraculous escape when explosives, suspected to be country made, went off in the bus near Damuku area under Ananthagiri Mandal in Vizag Agency on Tuesday night. 

Fortunately few passengers suffered minor injuries in the incident but the rear part of the bus was damaged due to the impact of the explosion. The incident took place at around 8.25 pm when the bus was heading towards Araku from Vizag. Sources said someone had boarded into the bus with explosive materials near S. Kota and kept the explosives  under a seat. Cops are suspecting that someone in the bus might have put a cigarate butt over it.

Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma said that it was a small incident and investigation is on to nab the accused persons. Sources said that  it was result of explosion of country made bomb and the injured were shifted to local hospital.
